This gallery is about the experience of being lost—not just in place, but in scale, direction, and perspective.

Each image captures the disorientation of wandering through a world that feels unfamiliar. Dark mountains rise from ash-covered valleys, lakes appear like glowing mirages against the barren earth, and rivers twist and divide, offering no clear path forward. In the vast and unpredictable Icelandic highlands, nothing is fixed landmarks shift, distances deceive, and the horizon offers no answers.

The Langisjór area feels like a place that was never meant to be found, a fragment of an unknown planet. There are no trails to follow, no markers to guide the way only endless terrain and the unsettling realisation that you are truly on your own.

This location gave me a challenge. It demanded exploration, patience, and an acceptance of the unknown.
